Uber Passenger Becomes Inspiration For Emotional Song

Image
One great thing about being an Uber driver is the people you meet. Many love to talk and share their life stories. Once in a while that story is inspirational enough to become a song.  During a long ride a passenger named Jennifer told me her story and I couldn't shake it from my mind. Jennifer was unique. She was adopted and abused as a child but grew up in a family that believed in education. She has three advanced degrees all in completely different vocations. When I met her she had just broken free from the grip of homelessness having lost the family home in a court battle. She had many different jobs over the years and lived in almost every state in America. She was struggling with a rare form of cancer but had been wrongly diagnosed and they told her she would be dead within a year, that was eighteen years ago. Despite being disabled by disease she continued to run a non-profit legal fund for children who had been sexually assaulted.  While it would be impossible ...

Story Behind The Song - Persistent Existence

Image
There are so many wild theories about how we landed here on earth. One of the craziest and most creative is the idea that earth is a prison. The story goes that we are immortal souls who cannot die and thus were imprisoned on earth doomed to be reincarnated over and over again for eternity. Some have posited that space craft arrive here to drop off more prisoners, others say that they are trying to help us escape this torturous cycle by remembering our place in the universe. Once I heard this idea my imagination ran wild. The thought that we are trapped in a Persistent Existence was so convoluted that it deserved a powerful song. This was one of the most difficult to produce because I wanted a female rap song with a fast paced dance beat but with an energy unmatched by anything I had ever heard before. It took longer to assemble than any other song I have created but I was so thrilled with the result that it became the title track for the album. Spotify     Apple Music  ...

Persistent Existence Running Wild in Mexico

Image
You never know who might like your music until you put it out there. From the day Persistent Existence was unleashed on the public it was assumed that America would be the hot spot for the UFO conversation but in fact we are still behind the times on this issue. The hot spots appear to be Mexico and Brazil. Both countries have had countless experiences with UFOs over the decades and they are not afraid to talk about it.  According to Spotify for Artists, Persistent Existence top cities are Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Chihuahua city, Porto Alegre, Monterrey, Belo Horizonte and Guadalajara. In addition to hundreds of streams, the song "Secrets Like This" received a brief review from the Mexican Entertainment site Freim TV.

Story Behind The Song - The Ultimate Weapon

Image
If you have spent time studying the paranormal or watched Steven Spielberg's new movie Disclosure Day , you've probably heard of remote viewing. This is the practice of using astral projection to view objects, people or places that might be far away or under some type of cover. It was pioneered at Stanford University in the 1970s and has been used in many U.S. Military projects over the decades. In recent years conspiracy theories have taken remote viewing possibilities a step further. They suggest that children have a more open mind towards the supernatural and can be easily trained to do remote views and other psychic tricks. Theories also suggest that these children are being used to attract alien spacecraft down to earth where they can be disabled using energy weapons.  All of these ideas are encompassed in the song The Ultimate Weapon . But much like the conspiracy theorists themselves, I decided to take it another step further and suggest that these children might be u...

Story Behind The Song - Hitchhiker Theory

Image
In UFO circles there is a theory called the Hitchhiker Effect. This is where a person has experienced something uniquely paranormal, often terrifying and the energy attaches itself to the person. The dark energy somehow follows them home. In the next few weeks strange things start happening around their house or to their family.  The effect can manifest as several different things like orbs of light floating through walls or silhouettes appearing and disappearing. The scariest is that of the hell hound, a black dog with red eyes randomly lurking in the distant darkness. One person even said it tried to attack them right in front of their house. This idea inspired me to write the song Hitchhiker Theory. To recreate one of these events I used the scariest music I could find with an unsettling voice to bring it to life. Prepare yourself for the most spine-chilling song on the album. Don't miss out on this song or this album! Persistent Existence  is Now Available! Spotify ...

Story Behind The Song - Skinwalker Ranch

Image
My introduction to Skinwalker Ranch was from the TV show only a few years ago. My girlfriend and I were looking for something scary to watch then stumbled upon this series about a unique piece of property in the Utah desert where weird things are studied. If you have never watched the show, Skinwalker Ranch is a 500 acre property originally a part of the Navajo and Ute territories. It was later overseen by the US Government and is widely considered to be a nexus for paranormal research. The History Channel has put out several seasons where scientists and local professionals search, study and try to understand the odd phenomena that continue to happen there. This turned out to be very inspirational for writing lyrics. The challenge I had was trying to figure out what genre would best describe and personify the weirdness of the ranch. After trying several genres I landed on musical theater. More specifically it is an overly enthusiastic teacher trying to explain the ranch to his st...

Story Behind The Song - Show Us The Proof

Image
When multiple whistleblowers and lawmakers stood on the Capitol steps demanding the declassification of UAP related files, it made me realize that we are coming to a pivot point in history. This very public call for disclosure had all the carrots to motivate politicians but it still lacked the sticks needed to force anything to happen. The only stick they have is public demand. This is where creatives can help. Movies, books and yes songs get people thinking about what is being kept from them. Public demand is often created through public awareness. When the press conference happened I was near the end of writing my first full-length album Persistent Existence but one thing was missing - a requiem. I knew what I had to do. I needed one song that summarized many of the events that happened since the start of the modern UFO era. I was inspired by two songs - We didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel and It's the End of the World as We Know It by REM. Both are fast paced, chock ...

All this time we thought Sci-fi was just for fun but now we have learned that it might be real. It only makes sense to have a whole new soundtrack for this change of reality. Songwriter Alex Hutchinson's first full length album Persistent Existence attempts to turn the streaming world upside down.  Alex uses AI technology to create a wide variety of vocals and music to elevate his stunningly sophisticated lyrics. The genres range from dance to rock, country to musical theater and everything in between. The subjects vary from serious to silly as he takes on missing scientists, remote viewing, skinwalker ranch, shadow creatures, deep state conspiracies, alien threesomes and so much more. Not only does he tell stories of the strange and unusual, he also attempts to unite humanity under the new understanding that these are no longer subjects that can be swept under the rug. The presence of non-human intelligence among us is the biggest revelation in the history of ...

Coming Out of the UFO Closet

Image
I never expected us to get to the point where we are openly talking about the realities of UFOs and aliens. Like many Americans I had long ago lost faith in any idea of truth or honesty when it comes to dealing with our Federal government. I also lost faith in the deeply distracted public who, throughout my life, had obsessed over meaningless nonsense while avoiding difficult problems. Now that this has come to the forefront we are forced to battle not only with the facts being presented but also the stigma dispersed over many decades of foolish ignorance. President Trump has ordered the government to tell the public what they know about these subjects. They are sitting on 80 years of information, much of which has been classified and kept from us. If you don't understand what is going on you need to watch the documentary Age of Disclosure . It covers a number of UFO related topics but primarily it breaks down the congressional hearings on the subject. Why am I writing about this...

Story Behind The Song - It Was Survival

Image
Growing up there were some hopeless times. I had an alcoholic father, often no working vehicle or job prospects and there was little room for me at home. I lived in a tent, a van, in a shed and on the floor of my parents laundry room. A big part of the problem was simply a lack of support. I needed to break away and try to make it on my own. That journey was fraught with failure and took several attempts. "It was Survival" expressed my deep need to escape these bad situations. It tells of the desperation I felt and how far I was willing to go while also keeping my sanity in tact. Ultimately I landed far away. I made new friends, found new jobs and survived. This song is a lifeline of hope to all of those who haven't made it out yet. It can be done, I'm living proof. Sometimes you have to get a little creative and take big chances but in the end it's worth it. It was Survival is available on most major music platforms Spotify     Apple Music     YouTube ...

Story Behind The Song - Throwdown for the Sandow

Image
While my first love was martial arts, my second love was bodybuilding. I started working out at 13 years old and though I wanted to achieve that superhero size and strength, I knew it was going to be a long journey. I was a skinny kid, only 116 pounds in high school. Plus, I had an eating disorder that made it very difficult to put on weight. Still, I persisted. 1994 - 143 pounds - 150pd bench I worked out at home and later signed up to a gym. I took every supplement imaginable but still it took forever to put on muscle. You could call it a lifetime goal. I didn't pass 200 pounds in body weight until I was in my forties. That's when I had a serious home gym of my own. I followed IFBB Pro Ben Pakulski's MI40 interactive training program and finally I was the monster I always wanted to be. 2020 - 224 pounds - 250pd bench It was in 2020 that I got to achieve a related goal in attending the Mr. Olympia competition. Normally the big contest took place in Las Vegas but due to th...

Story Behind The Song - Walk With Me

Image
We all have moments of torment so traumatic that it leaves a mark. My divorce was shocking and unexpected, those break ups are the worst. Overcoming feelings of betrayal and broken promises can crush a person's belief in others. That makes it difficult to trust and move on.  Finding myself in a new relationship while also dealing with the pain of the last one has been no easy task. Walk With Me is a request to my new partner, an understanding that I still have things to work through while asking that she joins me on this new journey.  This song is about letting go of heavy, old baggage in order to embrace a new, young love. The vocals express pain and hope simultaneously. There is nothing more therapeutic than taking someone's hand and walking towards a better tomorrow. Listen to Walk With Me    Spotify     Apple Music
