Story Behind The Song - The Ultimate Weapon
If you have spent time studying the paranormal or watched Steven Spielberg's new movie Disclosure Day, you've probably heard of remote viewing. This is the practice of using astral projection to view objects, people or places that might be far away or under some type of cover. It was pioneered at Stanford University in the 1970s and has been used in many U.S. Military projects over the decades.
In recent years conspiracy theories have taken remote viewing possibilities a step further. They suggest that children have a more open mind towards the supernatural and can be easily trained to do remote views and other psychic tricks. Theories also suggest that these children are being used to attract alien spacecraft down to earth where they can be disabled using energy weapons.
All of these ideas are encompassed in the song The Ultimate Weapon. But much like the conspiracy theorists themselves, I decided to take it another step further and suggest that these children might be used to spy on Americans. Our own weapons are used against us. It was a fun song to write, created as a sea shanty with Irish fiddles. The Ultimate Weapon uses a child voice in parts of the song adding eerie notes to the story being told. In the end it is the most toe tapping addition to the album.
