My introduction to Skinwalker Ranch was from the TV show only a few years ago. My girlfriend and I were looking for something scary to watch then stumbled upon this series about a unique piece of property in the Utah desert where weird things are studied. If you have never watched the show, Skinwalker Ranch is a 500 acre property originally a part of the Navajo and Ute territories. It was later overseen by the US Government and is widely considered to be a nexus for paranormal research. The History Channel has put out several seasons where scientists and local professionals search, study and try to understand the odd phenomena that continue to happen there. This turned out to be very inspirational for writing lyrics. The challenge I had was trying to figure out what genre would best describe and personify the weirdness of the ranch.
