For decades the entertainment and publishing industries have been inadvertently preparing us for the possibilities of the future. From Mary Shelly to Jules Verne to Isaac Asimov to Stephen Spielberg we have been climbing a ladder of ever increasing exposure to ideas of what might be out there or even right here.

Every show runner, director, animator or even songwriter that dives into the UFO or paranormal direction is providing a link in the chain to enlighten us to these possibilities. The more links we have in that chain, the stronger our acceptance and understanding of the strange and unusual when it happens. Every book, movie, TV show or song opens our minds and hopefully our hearts towards the change we often fear.

Throughout my life and writing career, I have pulled from my life story. This is no different. I'm an experiencer and have been since age 12. Crafting stories and ideas to music feels like a calling. It feels like something I need to do. My songs might only be a small link in that chain but for each person who sings along it's like I'm fulfilling a purpose that was written in the stars a long time ago.

Normally I don't explain myself but in this case, it needs to be understood that this is the biggest story in all of humanity. We are likely to be witnesses to the beginning, the reveal. We all have a part to play. Those who have been paying attention will be in the best positions to prepare, learn and lead. I know my part. Do you know yours?

  One great thing about being an Uber driver is the people you meet. Many love to talk and share their life stories. Once in a while that story is inspirational enough to become a song.  During a long ride a passenger named Jennifer told me her story and I couldn't shake it from my mind. Jennifer was unique. She was adopted and abused as a child but grew up in a family that believed in education. She has three advanced degrees all in completely different vocations.
